Welcome to the website of the Port of Washington Yacht Club, an organization comprised of liveaboard and recreational boaters, Washington, DC residents and associate members from across the country.  We are proud to call the Southwest Waterfont home, and we hope you will take some time and explore our vibrant community.

POWYC's mission is simple: to promote clean river and boating safety initiatives among our many friends along the Potomac River, its tributaries and the Chesapeake Bay.  We do that in a variety of ways: through social events, networking and maintaining active membership in organizations such as the Potomac River Yacht Clubs Association, the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club Association, and the Washington Waterfront Association.

Our membership is ecclectic, diverse and active in Washington, DC life.  Sights along the upper Potomac are breathtaking, with the majesty of the monuments, and the serenity of Three Sisters Rocks, our home has much to offer.
